LANSING – State Representative John Espinoza (D-Croswell) had a perfect voting record in 2007, showing an outstanding level of representing his constituents in the decision-making process.
"My first priority is to serve as the voice of the people I represent, and that responsibility is always foremost in my mind," Espinoza said. "It is my job to make sure that our communities' needs and interests are taken into account. That is why I have made sure to vote on every single matter that came before the House this year."
Espinoza also fights for the residents of the 83rd District as a member of the House Appropriations Committee. He serves as Chair of the Agriculture Subcommittee and Vice Chair of two subcommittees: Environmental Quality and State Police and Military and Veterans Affairs. He also serves on the Community Health Subcommittee. Espinoza spent months working with colleagues on both sides of the aisle this year to reach a bipartisan solution to the state's unprecedented budget crisis.
"I always evaluate proposals based on how they will affect the residents of the 83rd District, and I base my actions at the Capitol accordingly," Espinoza said. "Whether meetings or votes are called on short notice, over the weekend or late at night makes no difference – I will be there to do the job I was sent to Lansing to do."
